Regarding Applications for the Faculty of Letters Public Lectures

Pursuing the Nature of Culture, Society, and Humanity

The Keio University Faculty of Letters is a research and educational institution covering all areas related to "Letters." The research fields it covers are broad, far exceeding the traditional image of "literature," and encompass "knowledge" itself, including academics, arts, and sciences. These range from literary studies utilizing various languages to philosophy, history, library and information science, human relations, and even natural sciences.

With diverse independent majors and a learning system that allows for cross-disciplinary study, everything culminates into a collective body of knowledge through the medium of "words = Letters."

Faculty of Letters Komonjoshitsu

Housing 50,000 to 60,000 documents, primarily early modern rural documents from around the Kanto region. In addition to contributing to research through viewing services, it also holds special exhibitions.
