Thinking with a Card Game: Discovering Others' Ailments and Pain Only Through Imagination

What is a society that embraces "invisible diversity"?

Migraines, menstrual cramps, back pain... What is "invisible diversity," the ailments and pain of others that are hard to imagine?

The word "diversity" has become commonplace, and while progress has often been made in addressing visible diversity, understanding "invisible diversity" remains challenging.

For example, pain and ailments such as migraines and menstrual cramps are difficult for others to see, making them hard to understand. As a result, some people endure their suffering in silence.

A person who is usually cheerful and energetic is curt today. You might worry, "Did I do something wrong?" but they may have actually been suffering from a headache due to a change in atmospheric pressure.

By understanding the existence of such "invisible diversity," considering together how to respond to it, and discussing it from the other person's perspective, we will explore how to create a society where we can support and stand by each other when we or those around us face such challenges.
