Information on Career Guidance for Keio students with Disabilities

The Mita Office of Student Services Career and Placement Section (co-hosted by the Office for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) is holding a career guidance session for Keio students with disabilities.

◆ Date & Time: Tuesday, December 14, 2021, 4:30 PM–5:30 PM

*Individual consultations will be available after the guidance session (optional).

◆ Cooperation and Lecture: Ms. Honami Ito, if Co., Ltd.

(A leading company in the industry that has been providing employment information for people with disabilities for over 29 years)

◆ Format

Hybrid event held both online (Zoom webinar) and in-person (classroom in the South School Building, Mita Campus). You may choose either format.

◆ Eligibility: Keio students

◆ Guidance Content:

(1) Employment system for people with disabilities

(2) Job hunting activities and methods

(3) Hiring of people with disabilities

(4) Explaining disabilities and requesting accommodations, etc.

Learn about the current employment system for people with disabilities, the job market situation, and key points to prepare for in advance!

1. Current status of the system and employment rates

2. Job hunting schedule

3. Methods for job hunting activities

4. Hiring of people with disabilities (differences from general recruitment, etc.)

5. How to explain and communicate your disability

6. Accommodations for disabilities

7. Job hunting tools (How to use Sana)

*Students interested in employment for people with disabilities are also welcome to attend.

*You can participate even if you do not have a disability certificate ("Shogaisha Techo").
