he Keio University Global Research Institute (KGRI) was established in November 2016 as a research organization to bridge faculties and graduate schools across the university. KGRI aims to promote interdisciplinary and international collaborative research that goes beyond the boundaries of singular academic disciplines and international borders. It also aims to share research outcomes both in Japan and worldwide, further promoting engagement in joint research.

Solving Societal and Management Issues with Academic Knowledge

We provide a one-stop service for societal and management issues faced by companies and local governments. We form response teams composed of on-campus researchers with the appropriate knowledge and experience to solve these issues and offer solutions.

Working Papers

The KGRI Working Papers are intended to be made available for use and discussion by researchers both inside and outside the institute by being published on the website prior to the formal publication of research results by KGRI members and members of KGRI research projects in academic papers, books, etc. For this reason, there are various versions, including pre-peer-review and under-peer-review papers.

KGRI Grant

As part of its efforts to foster young researchers, KGRI has established its own research grants for on-campus researchers.
