This course is for students interested in cutting-edge AI (Deep Learning). We welcome anyone who wants to learn the basics of AI, regardless of prior experience.
Over the four-week course, participants will learn through hands-on practice, covering everything from setting up an AI development environment to the mathematical foundations, theory, and implementation of AI.
Tentative Schedule:
Week 1: Environment setup, Introduction to Python
Week 2: History of machine learning, Review of mathematical concepts, Simple AI implementation practice
Week 3: Theory of machine learning, Creating an image classification AI
Week 4: Techniques for building higher-performance AI, Creating a sentiment analysis AI
*This course is operated with funding from the Faculty of Science and Technology Educational Enrichment Fund, through the courtesy of the Mentor Mita-kai.
A similar course is scheduled to be held after this first session concludes. Registration for the second and subsequent sessions will be announced after registration for the first session has closed.
Dates: October 10, 17, 24, and 31, 2018 (Wednesdays of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th weeks)
