KGRI 2040 Project for Independence and Self-Respect Symposium: "Redefining Healthcare in the Age of Digital Platforms"

Systems are being envisioned for ICT-based medical care that connects people with experts, such as doctors, and with the government through health data using wearable devices and health apps, as well as systems that monitor an individual's health status in real time and guide them toward a healthy lifestyle tailored to their needs. These new healthcare systems are expected to serve as a touchstone for supporting "participatory medicine" and "informed decision-making" for diverse patients, and for encouraging individuals to voluntarily improve their health. On the other hand, what are the legal and ethical challenges? What kind of technologies, social systems, and legal order are required to overcome these challenges? This symposium will explore the future of healthcare in a digital society from a variety of approaches.
