Overview:
We will invite two speakers, Mr. Noritaka Okabe (CEO, JPYC) and Mr. Taisuke (hory) Horitsugi (Japan Manager, Kyber Network), who are at the forefront of business using "DeFi (Decentralized Finance)," to give a lecture in a dialogue format.
The technology known as "DeFi" is currently attracting attention from both business and regulatory perspectives. In this session, we aim to make this technology more accessible by first discussing what "DeFi" is and its use cases.
Furthermore, on the regulatory front, after discussing the domestic situation, we will consider Japan's position compared to other countries, especially focusing on the challenges. Finally, the speakers will discuss their outlook on how the financial industry will change with the advent of DeFi.

■Mr. Noritaka Okabe
In 2001, while studying at the Faculty of Economics at Hitotsubashi University, he founded Real Unreal Ltd. (now Inc.), where he served as Representative Director and later as Director and CTO/CFO. Subsequently, in 2017, he became Director and CTO/CFO at Real World Games Inc., and also served as the Director in charge of ARUK. In 2019, he became the Representative Director of JPYC Inc. (current position). He also currently serves as a Guest Professor at iU (Professional University of Information and Management for Innovation) and as a Director of the Blockchain Promotion Association of Japan (BCCC).
■Mr. Taisuke Horitsugi
Since 2018, he has been the Japan Manager for Kyber Network, a DeFi protocol based in Singapore. He is responsible for the Japanese market, aiming to promote the spread and adoption of liquidity protocols in DeFi. He also organizes the community activity "Yasashii DeFi" for learning about DeFi.
