On Friday, March 24, 2023, the "KGRI Research Results Presentation and Researcher Networking Event" was held. Approximately 40 people, including Vice-President for Research Amaya, KGRI Director Kimishima, three deputy directors, KGRI members, and project members, gathered, providing an opportunity for researchers from different fields to interact.
At the beginning, Yuko Kimishima, a professor at the Faculty of Law and Director of KGRI, gave her opening remarks and spoke about the significance of the Pre-startup Research Grants, which support international, interdisciplinary, and cross-disciplinary emerging research related to the SDGs.
Moderated by Takahiro Hoshino, a professor at the Faculty of Economics and Deputy Director of KGRI, five representatives from the pre-startup projects presented their results, followed by a Q&A session. The presentations, which covered important issues in modern society such as pathophysiology, public health, healthy longevity, epidemiological research, sleep assessment, and aging control, sparked a lively exchange of ideas among researchers from various fields.
Finally, in his closing remarks, Masayuki Amagai, Vice-President for Research, spoke about the importance of exchanging ideas among experts from different fields and the future prospects for pre-startup research and KGRI.
After the research results presentation, a researcher networking event was held, providing a venue for participants to share their passion for research and forge new connections.
