On Friday, July 28, 2023, the "KGRI Research Results Briefing and Researcher Networking Event" was held. Approximately 40 people, including Masayuki Amagai, Vice-President for Research; Yuko Kimishima, Director of KGRI; Yoko Hirose, Deputy Director; Tatsuhiko Yamamoto, Deputy Director; KGRI members; and project members, gathered for the event, which provided an opportunity for researchers from different fields to interact.

At the beginning of the event, Professor Yuko Kimishima of the Faculty of Law, who is also the Director of KGRI, delivered the opening remarks. She spoke about KGRI's new roles, directions, and goals for building an international research collaboration system and promoting interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research.

Under the moderation of Project Professor Makoto Asai, six representatives of the research projects newly established in fiscal year 2022 gave presentations on their results, followed by a Q&A session. Cutting-edge research activities in fields such as international politics, quantum internet, cyber-physical law, promotion of physical activity in the community, quantitative research on well-being, and brain science technology were introduced, sparking a lively exchange of opinions among researchers from various fields.

Finally, in the closing remarks by Masayuki Amagai, Vice-President for Research, he spoke about Keio University's recent goal of becoming a distinctive world-class research university and discussed the future prospects of KGRI within that context.

After the research results briefing, a researcher networking event was held, moderated by Project Professor Masako Toriya.

In his opening remarks, Professor Jun Murai expressed his expectations for KGRI's future activities, focusing on the challenges of interdisciplinary research, industry-academia collaboration, and human resource development.

In addition, recipients of this fiscal year's Startup and Pre-startup Research Grant Program introduced their research, making it an occasion for new connections and expansion.
