On Friday, November 10, 2023, the "KGRI Research Results Briefing and Researcher Networking Event" was held. Approximately 30 people, including Masayuki Amagai, Vice-President for Research; Yuko Kimishima, KGRI Director; Tatsuhiko Yamamoto, Vice Director; KGRI members; and project members, gathered for the event, which provided an opportunity for researchers from different fields to interact.
Following the opening remarks by Yuko Kimishima, a professor at the Faculty of Law and Director of KGRI, the event featured presentations of research results from the leaders of the three projects under the 2040 Independence and Self-Respect Project, as this is the final year of its three-year activity period.
Chaired by Director Kimishima, the leaders of the three projects under the 2040 Independence and Self-Respect Project presented their results, followed by a Q&A session.
Finally, Masayuki Amagai, Vice-President for Research, gave his comments and closing remarks, concluding the first part of the event, the research results briefing. The event then moved on to the second part, the researcher networking session.
After the research results briefing, the researcher networking event was held, chaired by Project Professor Makoto Asai.
In her opening remarks, Director Kimishima expressed her expectations for KGRI's future activities, focusing on interdisciplinary research, industry-academia collaboration, and future challenges. The event concluded with closing remarks by Masayuki Amagai, Vice-President for Research.
