Since the end of AY2023, under the vision of President Ito, KGRI has started to build the "Research Showcase," a platform to understand and communicate the research and its appeal of all researchers at Keio University to audiences in Japan and abroad. As part of this initiative, since February 2024, we have been highlighting researchers with exceptional research abilities, recommended by various faculties and graduate schools, as "Hidden Jewels," and have started producing and distributing seminars and videos featuring them.
The 5th session for AY2024, the first for the second half of the academic year, will be held on October 10 with the following details.

Eligibility: Limited to Keio University faculty, staff, and doctoral students. *Pre-registration required.

Research Presentation 1 (20 min): Yoko Ibuka, Professor, Faculty of Economics, "Exploring Health Risks from Alternative Data"
Panel Discussion 1 (30 min): Professor Yoko Ibuka; Keigo Komamura, Professor, Faculty of Law; Tatsuhiko Yamamoto, Professor, Law School (Deputy Director, KGRI)
Research Presentation 2 (20 min): Yuki Kanazawa, Senior Assistant Professor, Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care, "Why Do Midwives Who Only Handle Natural Births Incorporate an Engineering Perspective into Midwifery? – Current Status and Challenges in the Field of Perinatal Medicine"
Panel Discussion 2 (30 min): Senior Assistant Professor Yuki Kanazawa; Keigo Komamura, Professor, Faculty of Law; Tatsuhiko Yamamoto, Professor, Law School (Deputy Director, KGRI)
This session will be live-streamed via Zoom. If you are unable to attend in person, we encourage you to join us online. (Online participation is also restricted to Keio University affiliates.)
